Job Description: Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
Central Michigan Care’s Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) practice behavioral therapy using the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) under the guidelines of the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and provide supervision to Board Certified assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) and Behavioral Technicians (BTs).
Job Functions (includes, but not limited to the following):
- Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of ABA and have functional understanding of terms and practices
- Create Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Have knowledge of and dutifully follow the ethics and regulations of ABA as specified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Remain up-to-date on ABA literature and participate in continued professional development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and use of a variety of standardized assessment/screening tools effectively.
- Attends and contributes to required meetings.
- Maintain client caseload schedule.
- Provide direct ABA therapy in 1:1 and group settings in accordance with BACB guidelines and company policy/procedures.
- Provide training and supervision to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Ensures that clients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's’ needs and rights.
- Communicate clearly with parents, treatment team, schools, medical professionals and supervisor or clinical director regarding patients.
- Provide appropriate/constructive timely feedback and training for patients and training for parents.
- Assist with administrative tasks and oversight of all patients (including completion of session notes, treatment plans, supervision, collecting and analyzing data, treatment authorizations, BT requirements, running team meetings, etc.)
- Compete various paperwork required by insurance companies.
- Demonstrate ability to write comprehensive evaluation reports and communicate goals and objectives to parents, therapists, and other staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and abide by federal and state HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
This position requires the following prior to providing any services:
- Pass Federal, State, and County background check
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification required.
- Master’s Degree in Human Service related field from an institution appropriately accredited and recognized by the Department of Education required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and follow up skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with staff, participants, and the public in a professional manner.
- Must have unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license and current personal vehicle insurance.
- Complete all required training through Central Michigan Care and Community Mental Health of Central Michigan (renewed annually)
